शरिया आर एल शाह हो भने राजकुमार धिरेंद्र शाह को अनौपचारिक पत्नी को छोरी। धिरेन्द्रले आफ्नो आमाको रूपमा आधिकारिक रूपमा कहिल्यै पनि स्वीकार गरेनन्। धिरेन्द्रले तलाकलाई प्रिख्ती आर शाह, तलासीमा आइतवार शाहीको बहिनीको रूपमा, उनले लोकसिंकी मन्दिरमा जायासँग विवाह गरे। जय विवाह को एक वर्ष पछि श्रिया को जन्म दिए। जन्म प्रमाणपत्र धिरेन्द्र शाहको पिताको रूपमा उल्लेख गरिएको छ।

संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका मा 22 वर्ष रहन पछि शरिया नेपाल आए। उनी आफ्नो पासपोर्ट नवीकरण गर्न नेपाल आए तर उनी उनको नागरिकता बनाउन सक्षम भएनन्। नेपाल सरकारका अधिकारीहरूले उनीहरूलाई धिरेन्द्रको पुत्रको प्रमाण दिनको लागि सोध्नुभएको थियो जसको कारण उनी शंकामा छन् र मिडियासँग साझा भएको थियो।

Shreya RL Shah is the daughter of unofficial wife of then-prince Dhirendra Shah. Dhirendra never officially accepted her mother, as his wife. After Dhirendra divorced Prekhsya RL Shah, the sister of then queen Aishwarya Shah, he married Jaya in Dakshinkali temple. Jaya gave birth to Shreya after a year of the marriage. The birth certificate mentions Dhirendra Shah as the father. Shreya has came to Nepal after staying 22 years in USA. She came to Nepal to renew her passport but she has not been able to make her citizenship. Nepal Government officials had asked her to give proof that she is daughter of Dhirendra due to which she is in torture and had shared with media.
